Pictured here is an example of a door from a 1965 Mustang, after the burn-off process. Please note the completeness that the paint is removed, and pay special attention to the areas of rust damage. You can see how effective the rust removal process is. The bare metal (sans rust damage) looks as good as the day it was originally painted.
Most finishers recognize one major problem with finishing systems …keeping paint racks, hooks and fixtures clean. Grounding and transfer efficiency of the paint line is maintained when finishers can keep the racks and hooks free from coatings.
